Great food, super coffee, outstanding service. Best breakfast around. Having breakfast takes about the same time as a simple service at Benny Boyd and it's a short walk. BB will text you!!!

The food was like warm at best our server was overwhelmed so she was short with us and only became nice once she slowed down, I get it however it was not our fault! She was amazing once slowed down but didn't ask how our food was or checked on us after our food was dropped off. It was okay but we probably will not stop by again if in this town.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The manager was very kind to speak to us about the not so good review from the day before we saw and brought to her attention. We were skeptical of the restaurant because we was ordering the same things but the food was really really good. No sickness right now.

we got the buffet and the one girl that that waited on me was so rude. We also got the Cottage cheese that was spoiled . Wouldn't go back again

On way home from Cedar Park, we stopped for breakfast. I hsd Jessies Mess. He had an omelet. Both excellent. A bit of updating in bathrooms would be good, but all ok.

Just a good old fashion simple breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, bacon and hash browns... yummy!

So we were looking for a place to eat after church and decided to give this place q try. Servic was slow and it felt like they were doing us a service to take our order. I decided to try the pea salad because I normally love pea salad. This stuff was almost pure salt. It was really bad. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The gravy came on the side and had a thick skin on it. Kind of gross but worked through it. The steak was soggy and not crispy at all. I will not be going back really it's a waste of money

Great local place for breakfast. Service is fast, food was great, and affordable. Omelettes are delicious, and great hash browns. Very busy, lots of local business traffic, so it was nice to see as out of towner. All age groups seemed to enjoy it, and there is plenty of seating. They have a huge back room available for seating too. I saw lunch specials, so this would be a place I would love to visit during lunch or dinner to see how the food is.

Juicy and flavorful roast beef and tasty pinto beans. Salad was fresh. Potatoes, gravy and taco meat were ok. Service was friendly. Food came out pretty quick. Definitely worth a stop for the sweet tea and country decor!

Had the chicken fried steak—it’s HUGE! Not the most flavorful I’ve ever had, but not bad. BUT the instant mashed potatoes had zero flavor, the gravy was obviously a just-add-water powder mix and was really lumpy & gross. Chef salad was decent. Waitress was friendly but really really slow and it took forever to get everything we needed. She just wasn’t intuitive: she took our food order but not the drinks, we had to ask. She then brought drinks but no straws, we had to ask. I have a small toddler and she didn’t offer a highchair, had to go look for her & ask. We didn’t finish our food and she dropped off the bill, we had to go searching for her to ask for a to-go box. The last time I was here was almost a year ago and it seems to have gone downhill 👎🏼

The lunch buffet was very good with a nice selection. The staff was friendly and very helpful. One young lady went out of her way to help us get settled as we had some disabilities. Thank. I'll sure be back.

The wife and I stopped on our way to San Antonio. The place was great. The food tasted pretty good. They gave you more then I could eat. The place was clean and had nice things to look at on the walls. Looked like there was some locals eating there which I think is a good sign. Worth the stop if you’re driving by and ready to eat!

Our waitress was a young lady who was the positive out of our experience. While eating our small, over priced cheese sticks we overheard one of the other ladies loudly talking to the kitchen about how the food was coming out cold and it needed to go into the microwave. Didn't think much of it then until later on when my friend and I got super sick. We both ordered the same thing. Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and tots. We both were feeling great before we ate but had to pull over seven minutes after we left for my friend. I on the other hand ended up on the floor at home vomiting. Will not be coming back.

The food wasn’t very good, brisket was cold and lemon pie was like rubber. Then as we were leaving the restaurant we saw they had a big sticky thing on the floor for catching roaches and it had lots of little roaches on it? 😝

First time eating here today that I went back for dinner!! This food is dangerous meaning so amazing! I can't describe exactly how good the food and service was. I will for sure be back. The price is good and quality is even better. 😌

Very authentic little diner. Great breakfast. Definitely reccomend stopping in for a bite to eat. Service was fantastic and the food came out very fast for an order from five people.

Im only giving them two stars because the pancakes and fries were decent. Not phenomenal. Go if you absolutely have to have diner food. Otherwise find somewhere else. The service was very slow and the atmosphere is awful. Also the burgers are best to be avoided. Bathrooms were very unclean.

Nice little home style restaurant in Lampasas. We had the barbecue brisket plate, the Mexican dinner and the BLT and salad. We considered the buffet, but decided to order from the menu. The food was really good and the service was great. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside and has ample seating in the front and back rooms of the restaurant. The restaurant definitely has a country look and feel to it. Nice place for homestyle cooking.

We arrived at 7a.m and the parking lot was full already! Friendly folks along with a bubbley waitress.the food was perfect. Crispy hash browns and delicious sausage and hot fresh coffee .THE BEST PLACE FOR BREAKFAST IN TEXAS ask for Julie she's a gem!

A wonderful breakfast can be had at a very reasonable price here. The staff are kind and efficient. The restaurant was clean and organized. With an ambulance of a small town cafe, we thoroughly enjoyed our short time here. Thank you!

The last time I came here was back in 2005 and the place hasn't changed!! Some may think it's bad to not change however, I love it!! They have a really good chicken fried steak here and it's not overly seasoned so you might have to add a little salt and pepper but it is damn good eating!!! I will be back considering I just moved to Lampasas.

The food was great. Reasonably priced and love the atmosphere. They are busy busy so prepare to wait. It’s worth the wait.

Been to this place many times growing up. This was worst meal ever been served. Chicken fried steak was more like hamburger patty low quality. The batter was not fully cooked. Yeast rolls servd were stale. The gravy tasted more like flour water. Never after 50 years stopping will I come again.

Delicious home made food. Friendly staff.Great place if you're looking for a home cooked meal. My husband raved about the chicken fried steak, he opted for the half order and it was what would have been considered a full order in other establishments. I had to take half my food home.
